Purpose
The purpose of Eat Drink Learn (EDL) goes beyond the surface elements of gathering, learning, and indulging in delicious food. EDL aims to provide more than just a social event.
In a world dominated by screens and the relentless pace of modern life, finding space for authentic face-to-face connection is hard. EDL seeks to remedy this by providing a safe space where attendees can embrace a bit of vulnerability, authentically connect with others in their community, and engage in meaningful conversations.
Through this unique gathering, we hope to foster an atmosphere that leaves participants invigorated and renewed, transcending the mundane to create a temporary alternate world that brings people together for shared experiences.
Presentation
Embrace your creativity and showcase your passion in whatever format resonates with you – whether it's a dynamic PowerPoint, a musical performance, or an engaging group activity. We provide the technology to project any digital content seamlessly.
Your presentation should be a minimum of 3 minutes, allowing you to dive deep into your chosen topic, while also respecting the collective time by capping it at a maximum of 5 minutes. The subject matter is entirely up to you; the spectrum is wide open. Food & Drink
Recognizing the fear of public speaking is widespread, particularly in America, we acknowledge the courage it takes to address a group. At EDL, we provide a supportive and respectful environment for those interested in exercising their public speaking skills, and presenting is entirely optional.
If you choose not to present, we invite you to contribute to the communal experience by bringing a homemade dish to share. While we appreciate the convenience of store-bought items, we encourage you to craft something with your own personal touch.
Please note that EDL is a 21+ gathering, and we welcome the addition of alcohol. Kindly bring your own beverages to enjoy solo or share with the group. Visit the FAQ page for more information.
